TheSkoolieLife.com Episode 36:

Making and Installing Window

Coverings

I know it looks odd - making window coverings before the finished walls and ceiling are installed. But a couple of months ago I arranged to take the skoolie to a family gathering in the Finger Lakes Region of New York state. That gathering is rapidly approaching. I’ll be living in the skoolie for three nights, one of them in the suburbs. So I worked fast to make some window coverings for privacy. My goal was to make enough fabric window coverings to cover most or all of the windows down one side of the bus, and to make enough window coverings out of Reflectix to cover most or all of the windows down the other side of the bus. Whichever side of the bus is in the sun gets the Reflectix coverings. It’s easy to swap them. Because a lot of heat can enter a skoolie through the windshield, I also made reflectix covers for the windshield. Finally, I applied a “frosted glass” style peel-and-stick product to the bathroom window for privacy. Click the image below to watch episode 36 on my YouTube channel.
